Robert H Collins (Bob) MHS Accred
Bob trained as a social worker in 1991 when he gained a BSc (Hons) in Applied Social Science and a Diploma in Social Work. After a couple of years practicing as a social worker, he trained as a teacher for students in further education and went on to hold a number of positions lecturing in Health and Social Care for Southgate/Southwark Colleges and City and Islington College. Bob has many years experience teaching varied and diverse student groups. In addition to this Bob is a qualified and experienced academic and work based assessor. Bob has also trained as a Hypnotherapist and has been in private practice for a number of years. Bob teaches Hypnotherapy and Basic Counselling Skills for Chrysalis.
Jane Anghelatos MNCS Accred
Jane gained a degree in History from London University in 1978 and a Postgraduate Certificate in Education from Oxford Polytechnic the following year. She taught both in the secondary and primary sectors. From 1986 until 1995 she worked as a Training Manager in the NHS and Local Government. During this time she completed the IPD Certificate in Training and Diploma in Training Management. She played a pivotal role in collaboration between a Community Trust with Salford and Middlesex Universities to establish a self managed learning programme using action learning sets. She was awarded a Masters in Self Managed Learning from Middlesex University in 1997. She qualified as a counsellor in 2001 with the Diploma in Psychological Counselling at the University of Surrey. She is a full member of the BACP and has worked as a counsellor in GP surgeries since 1999. She also sees clients privately. For several years she was a client assessor for the Wimbledon Guild Counselling Service. She took the one year course in psychotherapy at Spectrum in North London in 2002. In 2003 she gained the Certificate in the Educational and Therapeutic Application of the Arts at The Institute for Arts in Therapy and Education and continued her studies there for a further year. Her approach is integrative; she is particularly interested in the use of metaphor in therapy and the psychology of performance arts. Jane has most recently gained a Postgraduate Certificate in Psychoanalytic Couple Psychotherapy from the Tavistock Centre for Couple Psychotherapy.
Leigh Grigson MNCS Accred
Leigh is a married lady and is a mum to her 3 teenage children. When her children reached school age, she embarked on a journey of self-discovery and came across the world of counselling which she has developed a real passion for. Leigh qualified as a professional counsellor at North Hertfordshire College and then went on to complete a level 5 diploma in Psychotherapeutic Counselling. As well has having her own private practice, Leigh has worked for the last 5 years as a counsellor at a secondary school where her clients are a mixture of students and families, focussing on relationship issues and conflicts. Leigh is also a Samaritan and over the last 7 years has gained experience selecting, training and mentoring new volunteers. Leigh believes that it is never too late to build dreams and reach the potential we all have inside of us.
Cindy Collick MNCS Accred
Cindy is an Accredited Counsellor whose original training was Person-Centred, but now works in an integrative way, using Gestalt, Solution Focussed and CBT for some clients. Over the years she has developed her skills to encompass a wide range of therapeutic styles including play therapy and a range of art therapies. She works with clients ranging from the age of 4 to 94! She has a private practice and also works as a school counsellor, a bereavement counsellor and a group facilitator. She offers workshops and training in bereavement and post & ante natal depression. Her passion for the subject is what she enjoys imparting to her students and looks forward to meeting each new cohort of Chrysalis students.
