The University of Nottingham has campuses, in both China and Malaysia, in addition to several around Nottingham itself. It started life as a civic college in 1881 and has continued to expand ever since, with further development planned for the future. Chrysalis offers three different qualifications at Nottingham University. The first is a one-year Hypnotherapy & Counselling Skills course. The alternative is Psychotherapeutic Counselling as either a diploma (two years) or advanced diploma (three years). Other than being the home of Torvill and Dean, Nottingham is perhaps best known for its associations with Robin Hood, a statue to whom stands in the city centre. The famous Sherwood Forest (a national nature reserve) is perfect for picnics and bike rides, offering some welcome greenery within a typical city landscape.
"Being a mature student I was rather apprehensive at the beginning of the course, my course tutor soon put me at ease and was so encouraging which gave me more confidence. After handing in my first assignment I now feel that I have the ability to do well as the subject is so interesting and very worthwhile, I see a good future ahead." Diane Starmer.
