Denise Welch admits Big Brother brought back her depression
Celebrity Big Brother winner Denise Welch claims that the show brought back her depression.
The Loose Women star regularly had to consult with psychologists during the show in order to cope with life under the gaze of Big Brother cameras.
Shortly after leaving the house, Welch admitted that he family had begged her not to go in the house because they feared a recurrence of her mental health problems.
She told The Daily Star: "My eldest didn't want me to do it. He worries a lot about my mental health problems and my drinking. He was worried it would ruin my career. I knew he'd worry when people were being horrible to me as well."
In ensure a full recovery, Welch may want to consider speaking to an individual with a counselling diploma. Such individuals would have passed accredited counselling courses and, as such, are fully qualified to deal with situations such as these.
In a separate interview with entertainmentwise.com, the 53-year old explained how helpful the Big Brother psychologist had been during her time on the show.
She said: "He soon became a security blanket for me. He had to keep reminding me it was a TV show and not my real house."
