All Chrysalis^® courses are fully accredited and recognised by appropriate professional bodies. We seek to combine practical skills to help others with training in personal growth and development. On graduation you will automatically be entitled to professional membership with the relevant bodies.

Hypnotherapy

Hypnotherapy has been used successfully in cases of pain relief, insomnia, addiction, phobias, stress and depression. There is a growing body of evidence that it can also greatly aid and galvanise the body's natural healing processes in a wide variety of illnesses. As a hypnotherapist, you will be trained to use a powerful tool to treat a wide variety of problems. Chrysalis^® Hypnotherapists are able to begin professional practice on completion of their one year Diplomas.

Psychotherapy & Counselling

The roots of psychotherapy lie in the medical profession, whereas counselling developed as a 'grassroots' movement. With such a wide variety of approaches to choose from, potential students are often confused.

At Chrysalis, we take the best elements of well-known counselling and psychotherapy models and put them together in a unique, tried and tested approach called psychotherapeutic counselling, which allows you to help with a range of common human problems - while developing your own self-knowledge and understanding.

We teach a unique syllabus which uses a core model based on exploring the client's past, present and future, then learning different techniques and skills which will help them heal, become whole, resolve their issues and achieve their goals.

Psychotherapeutic Counselling

Our Diploma in Psychotherapeutic Counselling is a two year course where you start seeing clients professionally at the beginning of year two, and are qualified to practice at the end of your Diploma - i.e. after two years.

Our most popular course, the Advanced Diploma in Psychotherapeutic Counselling, takes things further and equips you with skills and experience to deal with deeper problems as well. Here, you follow the same route as the two year course, but with broader, and deeper training over a third year. At the end of year 2, a more intensive version of the Advanced Diploma can be chosen which includes a required supervised placement.

Advanced Diploma in Psychotherapeutic Counselling

Our most popular course, the Advanced Diploma in Psychotherapeutic Counselling, takes things further and equips you with skills and experience to deal with deeper problems as well. Here, you follow the same route as the two year course, but with broader, and deeper, training over a third year. At the end of year 2, a more intensive version of the Advanced Diploma can be chosen which includes a required supervised placement.

Direct Entry to Year 2

Applicants who already have some counselling or hypnotherapy training can apply for Direct Entry to Year 2 at our discretion.
