All Chrysalis® courses are recognised and accredited by appropriate national professional organisations. This recognition is important for practice, and means that graduates from our courses can become full members of national professional organisations such as the National Counselling Society. Joining a professional body gives our students a host of benefits: professional insurance and recognition, access to newsletters, journals and websites, peer support, reduced advertising rates, and so on.
The Advanced Diploma in Psychotherapeutic Counselling is accredited by the Royal College of Nursing and students who have successfully completed a course are eligible for a RCN certificate. In addition, Chrysalis graduates, as members of our designated professional bodies, are eligible to join the Royal Society of Public Health (RSPH). If they progress professionally, senior members can become Fellows of the Royal Society of Public Health (FRSPH).
The Open University has considered the
Education and Training Programme
from Chrysalis® and assigned a credit value to
the learning. This provides an endorsement of
the quality, amount and level of the learning
within the Framework for Higher Education
Qualifications in England, Wales and Northern
Ireland (FHEQ) and credits for each course are
listed on our course pages.
Students receive their award from Chrysalis®, and
in addition can download a certificate confirming
the credit award from the OU website at
www.open.ac.uk/credit-rating Students may find
this helpful if they wish to study at the OU or
other higher education institutions.
Students even have the choice to do a version
of the course which is not credit rated, with
easier essays and a more informal assessment
method, if they so wish.
The Diploma in Hypnotherapy and Counselling Skills is fully accredited and recognised by the National Hypnotherapy Society, which is the UK's largest accrediting body for hypnotherapy and was instrumental in the establishment of National Occupational Standards for hypnotherapy. Our graduates join the HS as an automatic right as fully recognised, professional members ("MHS"). We are also accredited to professional level by the General Hypnotherapy Standards Council ("GHSC").
The Diploma in Psychotherapeutic Counselling is approved by the National Counselling Society. Our graduates join the NCS and gain professional membership (“MNCS”) upon completion.
The Advanced Diploma in Psychotherapeutic Counselling is fully accredited by the National Counselling Society – a prominent, national professional body. Our graduates may join the National Counselling Society as Accredited Members (MNCS Acc.) on completion of their courses.
